What This Mechanic Said Shocked Me!

Today, while driving in a remote part of town, I had a tire problem and had to stop at the closest shop. After accessing the situation, the guy told me the best thing to do would be buy a used, spare tire to get by for now. I agreed.

To my surprise, he immediately scrambled up a rickety ladder propped against the exterior wall.  The ladder was swaying, wobbling, shaking and looked like it would crash down at any moment.

I was concerned, but did not know what to do. Luckily, he makes it up to the roof, grabs a tire (I guess this is where they store the extras) and then starts BACK DOWN the ladder while HOLDING THE TIRE making it even more rickety!

Luckily, seemingly miraculously, he makes it to solid ground in one piece. I’m so relieved I run up to him to ask if he’s OK and if he was scared.

His answer shocked me and made a lasting impression.

He smiled and said, “I have FAITH and GOOD HELP.”

Simple words but they had such a profound impact on me. WOW! “Faith and good help!” What could I do with more of that in my life? What difference would that strong trust and certainty make in the way I approach “rickety” situations? How could ANY obstacle not seem easy when approached with FAITH and GOOD HELP?

I decided to look at the next three goals/challenges as ladders taking me up to my desires. Even if it seems shaky at times, I can strongly believe, “I have faith and good help!”

It's lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I BELIEVED IN MYSELF. Muhammad Ali

What that means for each person is different, but when we really believe in our ability to manifest and/or that we have a higher power helping us, it has a big impact. And when we really believe that we have “good help,” whether it’s a support network here or an invisible mastermind group on the other side as Napoleon Hill mentions, it has POWER! If we can BELIEVE and tap into these resources, WE CAN CLIMB ANY LADDER!

Use the space below to share situations where you’ve benefited, or could benefit, from conditioning your mind to have more “faith and good help.”
